DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\nFashionable Youth Arise \nSunday\, September 27\,\n2:00 pm at the Paradise Theater \nThe Unicorn Arts Collective presents Animals Arise\, Out of the Cage and into the Wild. Happening during Harvest Festival this year\, this show will be a menagerie of performances and fashion created by the children of the North Fork Valley. The show\, produced by the team that brought the wildly successful fashion and design show Elemental Rising to the Paradise Theater in April of this year\, is sure to be an over the top celebration of art and performance. Children will have several opportunities to work with local designers in camps at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts\, as well as weekend workshops leading up to the show. They will be creating looks that are inspired by animals and the jungle environment. Choreographers Carolyn Yates and Brooke Warren will team up again to bring beautifully inspired movement to the young performers. Tickets will be on sale at the Paradise\, Back Country Bistro and online at Brown Paper Tickets.

Doors open at 6:30pm\, and the concert begins at 7pm. Tickets are $8 per person in advance\, $10 at the door.  970-527-7243 \nFeaturing American composers and musical styles\, this concert takes us on a journey through the developing music scene of America in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. As America comes into its own as a leader in choral music\, we see the incorporations of American folk music\, from hymns to spirituals and beyond. And now\, as we move into the twenty-first century\, we see the American heritage of diversity and multicultural influences manifest itself in a diversification of musical styles and increasing incorporation of world music. This concert will explore the morphing role of choirs and the voice in this melting pot of American music. \nSome of the pieces to be performed: \n\nAaron Copland’s “Zion’s Walls”\nEric Whitacre’s “Lux Aurumque”\nF.
