DESCRIPTION:“Not So Odd Times – Fun With Odd Times and Meters -or- It’s Just 2’s and 3’s” with David Alderdice – Saturday\, December 1st\, 10-noon\, at our teaching studio outside Hotchkiss\, CO. We will use solkattu and the marimba ensemble instruments as part of this workshop as we take a look at feeling odd meters (like 3’s\, 5’s\, 7’s\, 9’s\, 11’s\, and so on) with comfort and ease. Applicable for all artists\, musicians\, dancers\, athletes\, and other humans. All instruments provided. SUMMARY:Women’s Rhythm & Drumming Class Series with Arlyn Alderdice in Hotchkiss\, CO
DESCRIPTION:Tuesdays 9:30am-11am\, December 4\, 11 & 18. Come as you are. We’ll spend time checking-in and coming into rhythm together and we’ll play. For new drummers as well as experienced musicians. $25 for the three week series\, please inquire about trades and alternative currency if that would be helpful for you. Located at our percussion studio.\n\nPlease RSVP so I can plan accordingly. It is my ideal to have you commit to all three weeks for the consistency of the group and building on the learning\, but I understand that is not always realistic\, and you can still drum with us.
