Movement as Medicine with live music resumes Sunday October 1st from 11am-12:30pm at the Hearth in Paonia (first Sundays of the month). It’s lightly facilitated and the live music is provided by David Alderdice and Daniel Be with a different guest musician each month. In October, Beth Quist will be joining on voice, hammered dulcimer and more. The event is offered on a sliding scale with work-trade options available, and childcare is available on-site. These gatherings with live music go deep as we track our sensations and let our bodies guide us in our movements while listening to improvisational music that has never been heard before and will never be played again. The musicians follow the dancers and the dancers follow the music and an alchemy occurs.
