Craig Childs’ much loved spoken word and audiovisual extravaganza, Dark Night, returns to Paonia’s Paradise Theater for the fourth consecutive year on December 20th and 21st, the darkest nights of 2013. This year’s edition focuses on The Unseen World, and features new work by Childs based on his travels in the Arctic, New Mexico, California sewers, Central Park, and the New Jersey Pine Barrens. The two-act show also featuresThe Devil’s Case, written and performed by Angus Stocking – Confessions of a Heavy Thinker, and includes supporting choreography, acting, and music from Sarah Gilman, Alyssa Pinkerton, David Alderdice, Marty Durlin, with other accomplished performers from the North Fork Valley and beyond.
As always, Dark Night 2013 will explore mature themes related to the season, and is intended primarily for adult audiences. Attendees are invited to wear costumes. Doors open at 7:00. Admission is $20 pre-sale, $25 at the door.
