Riq, Tar, and Frame Drum Class with David AlderdiceWednesdays beginning October 7th: 7-8:30pm at the Embodying Rhythm School of Percussive Arts teaching studio outside of Hotchkiss. This class will mainly focus on traditional rhythms and grooves of North African, Persian, Arabian, Balkan, and Turkish origin as well as some modern applications and musical sensibilities from these regions. This class is open to all levels and will help to broaden our musical awareness and rhythmic understanding while making these ethnic rhythms fun and accessible. Bring your drum or use one of ours.
