Please take a peek at the upcoming offerings that we have for you – from embodiment workshops (more info here) to a meditation mini-retreat. We also have some fun musical performances from Mama Lingua, Northforkestra and more! See below for full details, and we email about once a month, so please calendar the events you’d like to attend, including Arlyn’s Friday morning 9-10am dance practice.

• Events not on the list –we have a four week series of adult marimba classes starting May 1st at 10:45am, please be in touch if you would like to play and would like more information about the class. Also, David has been offering Solkattu rhythm gatherings monthly, please reply to this email if you would like more information.

For February, the Community Band will be sharing the fruits of their labors on February 8th at NFSIS in Paonia for  Swing Night, 6:30 for a beginner Swing Dance Lesson and 7pm for live music! This project is currently a 25-30 piece jazz big band and is such a fun offering from our community. Directed by David Alderdice and Jeannette Carey.

I hope you are well.

The Life-Coach Skills meet-up will be tomorrow, Friday – the 17th of January at 11am at the Hearth in Paonia. Our last newsletter had the date listed as the next week incorrectly, my apologies.

And. . . the Swing Dance Lesson on February 8th will be at 6:30pm at NFSIS (430 Box Elder, Paonia) before the live swing music with the North Fork Community Band. It’ll be fun!

On another note, as we drive to school, we like to keep our eye out for the different wild animals that we can see, an occasional herd of elk, trio of bald eagles, a raven, a woodpecker, and hosts of little birds. It’s nice to keep our eyes open for wildness, even as much of the natural world sleeps in the northern hemisphere, it helps keep that pulse alive and connected.

I hope you are keeping your eye on the wildness within and without as well.

We are going to offer some marimba classes for both adults and kids starting at the end of February, please reply to this email if you would like the details.

Live Music Movement as Medicine continues the first Sundays of the month through April. We hope to see you this Sunday, January 5th at the Hearth for dance to responsive live music.

Arlyn has some new offerings this cycle with some life-coach meet-ups (learn a life-coach skill and do a coachy check-in). Along with 5 weeks of a Monday Women’s Dance starting Jan. 13th, she’s offering a Women’s Mini-Retreat on March 23rd and a full Embodiment weekend retreat with Kent Tompkins, MA, CPT the weekend of April 25-27th. Full details below. And, Arlyn is curious if there are any little changes that you’d like to bring into your daily life to help your year be more you?
